Hot Cheetos and Labne (Kefir Cheese)

Hear me out on this one. Looking for something new to add to your go-to junk food list? Well try this Hot Cheetos and Labne recipe.

Labne is always found in my fridge. Its very tasty and goes great with some olive oil and salt. However, every no and then I like to experiment with Labne. Labne is also known as ‘Kefir cheese’. It can be found at any Middle Eastern grocery store. Unfortunate, I do not know of a substitute for this ingredient so you have look far and wide. I’m also hear to help. The second ingredient is Hot Cheetos. Normally, I would dip a Cheeto into the Labne. However, that’s the easy route. For this recipe, we will be carefully mixing these ingredients together to make a nice dip for chips or for more Hot Cheetos. These ingredient were very hard to deal with. I first ground up the Cheetos then mixed them with the Labne. The consistency was really think and it was very hard to mix. So I used a processes and some olive oil to help out.

The end result was this creamy red dip. Honestly, I did not like the color, but I really wasn’t working with much anyways. I also found out that green onions made it taste even better.

  1. Grind up the Hot Cheetos with a blender
  2. Mix one cup of Labne with olive oil in a blender or processor and mix until smooth
  3. Mix in green onions with a spoon
  4. Scoop in a bowl and serve
